Life-long formation is more than ever necessary in our rapidly changing world; it allows individuals and communities to renew themselves in their vocation. This formation is to be encouraged in our communities by appropriate means, and provinces shall ensure that it is incorporated into their overall plan. At a higher level, the general council organizes or lends its support to inter-provincial meetings for all our religious for the purpose of study or spiritual renewal. It encourages theological and other forms of research and looks for ways of promoting studies on the Founder and on the history and spirituality of the Institute (RoL, n. 61)
